The world’s most awarded airline has established a route with five weekly departures from Arlanda to Singapore. The first flight will leave on the 30th May 2017, and the company will be doubling their number of departures from Scandinavia.

The background for establishing these is the growing interest in traveling from Scandinavia to Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

– We have for many years considered the possibility of a connection to Stockholm, and are therefore very pleased to present the new route.

Our partnership with SAS is becoming stronger, and this is an example of how together we can provide our customers with an even better offer.

Our new route brings Southeast Asia even closer to Scandinavia, and meets the rising demand, says Singapore Airlines CEO, Mr Goh Choon Phong.
Star Alliance partner SAS is looking forward to the new route.

– We look forward to expanding cooperation with Singapore Airlines further, thus offering our customers a new route from Stockholm to Singapore. And from there on in Asia and to Australia and New Zealand, says Rickard Gustafson, CEO of SAS.

The new route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Singapore’s Changi Airport will go through Moscow.

Many Norwegians in Business Class

Thanks to the partnership with SAS, Norwegian customers benefited from the five weekly nonstop departures from Copenhagen.

From next year the number of departures from Scandinavia will now be doubled, and thus capacity as well.
– We are especially pleased to offer more seats in Business Class. Norway is the largest in Scandinavia where we traditionally have the most passengers in Business Class from.

We look forward also to show off our new Premium Economy for the first time in Scandinavia, says Sales Manager in Norway, Henrik Hanevold.
