In March,  13 875 new cars were registered in Norway. That’s 284 fewer cars than in March last year, representing a decrease of 2 percent.

Compared with the average for the month of March the ten previous years, that’s 21.3 per cent  more cars in this year’s March o  (+2437 cars), accordint to statistics from Opplysningsrådet for Veitrafikken.
1,253 used cars were  imported in March. That’s  803 fewer cars, or slightly above 39 percent less, compared to March last year. Last month,  36,172 used cars were purchased. That’s 5255 fewer used car purchased, or nearly 13 percent less than in March 2015.
Average CO2 emissions for all first-time registered new cars in March were 95 grams per kilometer, this is 5 grams less per kilometer  than in March last year.
3396 new hybrid cars  were registered  in March. That’s 1,993 more (142 percent) than in March last year. The passenger cars with hybrid drive had a 24.5 percent market share in March this year, while the market share in March 2015 was at 9.9 percent.
2051 of the hybrid cars in March this year were rechargeable hybrids. In March last year, 361 of the hybrid cars were   rechargeable.
