Oil company Subsea 7 says up to 1,200 globally, and downsizing process should already have begun in Norway.
The company’s ceo Jean Cahuzac said in a press release to the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv that in difficult times, the company will enter into a new phase with cost reductions during the 2016.
In May last year began Subsea 7 with extensive savings measures where they reduced the fleet with eleven vessels, at the same time that 2,500 positions disappeared globally.
In Norway lost 180 employees work.
