The Tax Administration has so far not been given access to information about Norwegians companies in tax havens from DNB or Nordea. Now they will ask the government of Luxembourg for help, the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv writes.

Earlier this week it became clear that the tax authorities will demand access to DNB’s operations in Luxembourg, where the company has helped customers to create companies in tax havens. The practice was revealed by Aftenposten Sunday.
– The Tax Administration makes inquiries through multiple channels to access information and this includes composing a request to the IRS in Luxembourg,  senior communication advisor Anette Bjerke in the Tax Administration says to Dagens Næringsliv.
She added that the agency is aware that it may take time to get the information. DNB have said to NRK that they will cooperate with the tax authorities after the disclosures, and that they are considering naming the customers to the agency.
