Toyota is recalling 20,000 vehicles sold in Norway because of problems with airbags. Globally, the issue affects around 5.8 million cars.

Espen Olsen, the Head of Information at Toyota in Norway, stated they want to be on the safe side.

– The cars have a potential error, and therefore we want to be one step ahead. We are doing what we can to get all called in cars fixed as fast as possible with the parts available. We will cover the cost for the customer, stated Olsen to E24.

In Norway the error affects Toyota Yaris’ produced between May 2000 and November 2001 and between April 2006 and December 2014. In addition to the Yaris, Toyota have also called in Hilux and Auris models.
