The US embassy in Henrik Ibsen’s street, will be put up for sale at the turn of the year.
Now that the time for moving into the new embassy building at Huseby is fast approaching, the old embassy premises at Royal Park’s southwest corner will be put up for sale, the newspaper Finansavisen.
The building was completed in 1959 and contains approximately 6,000 square meters spread out over seven levels.
Finansavisen writes that if the property is priced like an office building, a price of 450 million is not unthinkable. People have also proposed that the property is to be scheduled as an ancient monument.
A sale is scheduled to be completed by the summer of next year.
