700,000 Volkswagen Tiguan and Tourans are being recalled due to an error with the light around the sun roof. It is unclear whether cars in Norway are being recalled.
According to Reuters, the German industry site Kfz-Betrieb reports that moisture can shorten a LED light strip around the vehicle’s sunroof. This may cause the roof to ignite, and worst case scenario the roof may start a fire.
In Germany, 52,500 cars are affected.
Press representative, Anita Svanes at Volkswagen Norge says to E24 that they have not been able to get an overview of which markets are affected and therefore not sure for Norway.
