Royal Family greeted the parade from the palace balcony

According to the tradition, saluted the royal family parade from the palace balcony as the first schools in the procession marched past the castle 17 May.

The first schools passed the Palace Square at 10.30, and the palace balcony stood six of royal family members. Besides King Harald and Queen Sonja had Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit as usual made the trip from Skaugum with Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus.

Royal Family had as usual, replaced costumes. While Queen Sonja uses a dark blue robe and red headdress, asked Crown Princess Mette-Marit for the occasion in a blue coat and a dark helmet. Princess Ingrid Alexandra wore a gray coat.

King Harald and Crown Prince Haakon were as always far easier in their choice of attire for the occasion. They asked tradition this morning morning dress attire and with its top hat.
Every time a new school flag poles passes over the square, greets his hat, which they must do in the year 109 times, as there are 109 schools participating in the train.
