Crown Princess Mette-Marit's a bit on home ground when she and Crown Prince Haakon start this year's county tour to Vest Agder this week.
The program includes visits to nine municipalities within three days. Three municipalities will get only a mini visit in the morning when the the crown prince couple arrives in longboat from the Royal Yacht Norway.
The visit to the municipalities Flekkefjord Lindesnes and Mandal promise nevertheless mayor, festival and flower children on the pier, respectively, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning.
The largest are the arrangements in Sirdal, Hægebostad, Audnedal, Aaseral, Marnardal and Songdalen. In addition to the traditional speeches, tributes and guided tours are a number of items on the program out of the ordinary. In Hægebostad Tuesday, for instance, will the visit at family business Hamran kitchen and joinery workshop, where Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will have to help both on the food and decorating front.
The purpose of county trips is that the royals will meet people in different parts of the country and get an insight into their life and work. Normally, the county tour includes two trips a year, one for the royal couple and one for he crown prince couple.
