Crown Prince to Finland without crown princess

Crown Princess Mette - Marit's neck problems make it impossible for her to travel to Finland for an official visit next week.
The Royal couple are invited by the president Sauli Niinistö to focus attention on the close cooperation between Norway and Finland, but the Crown Princess Mette - Marit was sick last Tuesday and had to put all travel plans on ice for her part.
Sick leave period expires the same day as the visit finland begins , the following Tuesday :
- Unfortunately, it is not necessary for the Crown Princess to travel to Finland , but the crown prince would go as planned , says communications manager Marianne Hagen at the Palace NTB .
Can be extended
Crown Princess Mette - Marit was sick for two weeks because of herniation in the neck , a recurring problem for her. When the sick leave was known to the Palace, They did not advertise  that the sick leave period will be extended.
Therefore. Crown Prince Haakon Tuesday travel alone and meet the Finnish President Niinistö and Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen .
School and Arctic
With education as one of the themes of the trip , the Crown Prince visit both a primary and Aalto University.
Another key element of the program is  Arctic issues . In that regard , it visits at Aker Arctic Technology Research .
Crown Prince Haakon has also met the Finnish presidential couple earlier. A year ago he was host in Tromso when President Niinistö and Mrs. Haukio spent a day in the north of Norway.
