Children as young as 13 years have the opportunity to  a profile and use the dating app Tinder. There is a big risk of abuse, according to the police and  Redd Barna(Save the Children).

Granted, users under 18  may only speak with other users under 18, and both must have shown interest in each other, writes VG.
– This means that users may not send messages to each other without mutual consent. Our policy prohibits misbehavior. Those who violates this are deleted from Tinder, Tinder spokeswoman Rosette Pambakian says. That’s not good enough to convince Kaja Hegg of Redd Barna.
– It is very easy to create a fake profile, and people do not necessarily comply with the age limits. Molester will use all available venues and areas in their search for victims, but in particular they frequnet those apps where children and young people are dating , she said. Hegg compare it to letting the 13 year old into a night club or bar with where people are trying fo find sexual partners or a lover for the night with a note around his or her neck that states the child also is “participating in the market.”
– This is a dating app used primarily by adults.  Children and underage youth are not mature enough to use it.Despite there b limits on the use, Tinder poses a high risk of abuse, she said.
Both Hegg and police superintendent Kari-Janne Lid by oslo police section for violent and sexual crimes thinks that the age limit is too low.
