A 16 years old boy has been charged with careless driving in the neighborhood of Hå municipality on Jæren. He was the driver a tractor when a 17 years old girl fell under the wheel of the vehicle and she died Saturday.
– The police have seized the driving license and the driver is charged with violating the Road Traffic Act, Section 3 which is about paying attention and being alert, said police lawyer Anders Christiansen to the local newspaper Stavanger Aftenbladet.
16 years old has agreed that driving license was confiscated. Violation of road traffic law is punishable by fines or imprisonment up to one year if the situation does not fall under stricter penal conditions.
In addition to the girl, there was a 15 years old passenger in the tractor when the accident occurred. The tractor that was involved in the fatal accident was approved for one person, said the police.
