Friday, November 9, 2012 was the start for Norway Today’s first edition of its online newspaper. This was the beginning of many future years of Norwegian news written to the world in English.
Sometimes it happens that a person gets a fantastic idea. Norway Today is no exception. Tor Ingar Oesterud got a vision that Norwegian news could be of interest to others out there in the world. With this in mind, he began working on what would prove to be much greater than he had believed. Norway Today Media has over 100,000 readers each month, over 200,000 readers on facebook, instagram and twitter accounts also grows by the day.
A natural thing for a good idea is that it must be developed. And development takes time. Norway Today is no exception. The newspaper’s beginnings were fantastic and well made for its time. But like much else, technology has not stopped to evolve. The newspaper therefore met some problems along the way in its development. One of the biggest challenges was to meet the need for a mobile customized website that would give the reader the opportunity to read the news while they were traveling.
We are happy to inform that the new website of Norway Today can be read on nearly any device as long as you have internet access.
We have long worked to create a new website for you that will give you the same good news, but also cover all the needs that you as a reader should have in terms of screen sizes. Today you can read on your phone, share your favorite news on facebook to your friends who can open it on its 13″ screen while sitting on the train.
Ideas are a wonderful thing. But all ideas have a need for a team who are dedicated to developing the idea that will be created. Both in terms of technology, knowledge, enthusiasm for the idea and not the least help from good friends. A person devoted to his case will in almost all cases end up with a product that creates joy and commitment for many more than just themselves.
As a team of dedicated people who have worked hard to create the new look for the newspaper, we now have the pleasure of welcoming you to the new version of Norway Today.
Read, share and join us into the future of news.
