Oslo’s main airport has the highest public transport share in Europe, and is in fourth place among all airports in the world – beaten only by three airports in Japan.

Trains most popular
More than half of the passengers at Oslo Airport (OSL) travel to and from the airport by train. Flytoget Airport Express Train is favoured by more than 30 percent, while 21 percent travel by NSB’s regional trains.

The train companies are taking market share from private cars, which declined five percentage points in 2015 and now accounts for 22 percent of travellers. Buses have also seen a slight decline. Taxi is favoured by about four percent of  travelers at Oslo Airport, but does not count as public transport.
