In the first three months 942 people applied for asylum in Norway, according to figures from the Immigration Directorate (UDI).
By comparison, 1670 asylum seekers came to Norway in those three months last year.
Syrians (166), Afghans (156) and Iraq (83) accounted for the largest proportion of asylum seekers. 30 of the asylum seekers claimed to be stateless, according to UDI.
