A Somali man in his 30s is charged with the knife murder of a a man of the same age in Kongsberg. The two persons were described as former aquintances.
The message about the stabbing came shortly after four o’clock on Friday night, and the crime took place in a hall of residence with five or six flats in Lurdalsveien, east of Kongsberg center.
Both the victim and the person charged with the knife murder have lived in Norway for at least ten years, police said.
The charge is second degree murder, but the police know little about the incident, beyond the fact that there had been a disagreement earlier between the two men.
– Alcohol was involved, but we are not certain whether it was the cause of aggression, chief investigator Morten Ole Pedersen says.
