All the unaccompanied minors had their asylum applications accepted

Everyone  unaccompanied  asylum seeking minors whohad their applications  processed in January this year, were granted residence in Norway, according to new figures from the Directorate of Immigration (UDI).

A total of 145 of application s were processed in January. A large majority, 126 of those who were granted residence, are from Afghanistan, 15 are from Eritrea, while  five are from other countries, indicates UDI overview.

Of the total of 1,165 asylum  applications  from unaccompanied minors who were processed in 2015,  98  percent were allowed  to stay in Norway.

In total, 5,297 unaccompanied  minors seeking asylum came to Norway last year. In January this year the number of applicants  have dropped to 61 persons.
