Three astronauts from Russia and the United States has landed safely on Earth after six months on the International Space Station (ISS).
NASA astronaut Jeff Williams has set a new US record for the number of days in space – a total of 534 days over four trips.
Together with two their Russian colleagues, Alexej Ovchinin and Oleg Skripotsja, he landed on the steppes of Kazakhstan Wednesday morning.
The three have traveled 117 million kilometers and spun around the earth 2,752 times during their stay on the ISS.
Back on Earth, they were all in good spirits, smiling and giving the thumbs up after landing.
The world record for the number of days in space is held by the Russian Gennady Padalka, with 879 days. Thirteen Russians have more time in space than the new US record holder, Williams.
