Easter week starts with good weather across much of the country, but a changes in the weather mid-week leads to rain in the eastern part of Norway, according to the Meteorological Institute.
Southern and eastern Norway has in recent days been marked by sunshine and pleasant temperatures. This will continue for the most part until Maundy Thursday.
– We get a changes in the weather on Thursday. Then the weather will get a bit more cloudy, and then eventually there will be some rain. There wind will also be blowing in a more southerly direction, state meteorologist Nina Larsgård at the Meteorological Department told the newspaper Nettavisen.
The week will start well in Nordland too, but there will be some showers in Vesterålen.
– Troms and coastal areas in Finnmark will get some snow showers. On the coast of Eastern Finnmark things will become a little more windy, occasionally approaching a northwesterly breeze. The Finnmark plateau will get quite calm and clear weather, Larsgård. says
Western Norway, it is not expected to get much Easter sunshine.
– Monday will become quite cloudy with periods of rain and snow in altitudes over 300-500 meters up to Trøndelag, the metereologist says.
