Norway condemns North Korea’s rocket launch, and Foreign Minister Brende (H) says the country now threatens the stability of the region.
– Norway strongly condemns North Korea’s rocket launch on 7 February. Along with the underground nuclear test blast on January 6 this actionsthreaten the regional stability, says Brende said in a statement Sunday.
He says North Korea’s nuclear tests clearly violates numerous resolutions of the UN Security Council and calls for the international community to halt the controversial weapons programs.
– The actions of North Korea makes it even harder to reach diplomatic solutions and weakens the international nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation regime, says Brende.
