Bulgarian family network accused of human trafficking

With a pizza restaurant in a small village south of Hedmark as a cover business, an organized Bulgarian network of human trafficking and a prostitution ring in Oslo has been being run, believes prosecutors.

Four Bulgarian nationals are go to hearings Monday in Glåmdal District Court charged with aggravated trafficking, pimping and organized crime.

Three of the four are also charged with handling stolen goods, they have transferred more than 800,000 kroner abroad and exchanged 323,000 kroner for Euro’s.

– In our assessment, the organized activity has more people involved, and it has been going on for several years.

The indictment includes four girls who have had to prostitute themselves in Oslo, but which wholly or partly have lived in a home in Hedmark, says Attorney Iris Storås who is also the prosecutor in the case.
