When police showed up at Høvik in Bærum after receiving a report of burglary, perpetrator escaped from the place and drove straight into a police car which blocked the road.

– One of the policemen got pain in the neck and one in the stomach, said operations manager in Asker and Bærum Marius Wam to news agency NTB.

Police received reports of burglary from an alarm company shortly after midnight when the alarm went off. When the first police patrol arrived at the site perpetrator tried running away in a car.

– Another police car blocked the road and the perpetrator ran right into it. I cannot say anything about how much damage the car received, but the airbag was triggered, said Wam.

Man reportedly admitted burglary and was driven to the emergency department for a blood test. The officials are also sent there for investigation.
