The opposition expects the government to adopt a conciliatory tone and adjust the disputed proposals when the parties that were part of the previous settlement will meet again to talk about the proposed tightening of the asylum policies.

Prime Minister has Erna Solberg invited all the parties to an hour-long meeting on Tuesday morning to discuss proposals for tighter immigration policies.
– The aim of the meeting is to examine closely the consultative proposals, solve pending issues and identify the points that cause the most difficulties for the various settlement partners, the Prime Minister’s Office writes about the meeting.
Solberg   made it clear in an SMS to the other parties that the government is “on the supply side”. The opposition say they are prepared to take responsibility. Meanwhile, they expect that the government has listened to the criticism of some of the points that immigration and integration minister Sylvi Listhaug  presented at Christmas.
