Democrat Hillary Clinton leads the voting polls against Republican rival Donald Trump in the race to become the next US president.

49 percent of respondents say to vote for Hillary Clinton and her vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, if presidential elections were being held now. 44 percent say they would vote for Donald Trump and his running mate Mike Pence.

The poll is conducted among likely voters in the period September 27th to 29th. The results leave little doubt on who won the first TV debate between Clinton and Trump on September 26th. During the previous poll before the debate, Trump won 46 percent of the voters while Clinton got 45 percent.
