Hillary Clinton now has over 1 million more votes than election winner Donald Trump. Still the votes recounted after last week’s presidential election.

Results shown on Wednesday that Clinton received 62,403,469 votes against 61,242,652 for Trumps. That is 47.8 percent of the vote, against 46.9 percent received by Trump, writes Time.

The figures are taken from the Cook Political Report.
– The choice was based on the total number of votes counted in New York, Florida and California, which helped him to win even more superior and easily, wrote Trump on Twitter Tuesday.

Trump won a majority in the electoral collegium and has 290 electoral votes against Clinton’s 232.
The result in the state of Michigan is still unclear. 96 percent of the votes are counted and Trump is leading with approximately 10,000 votes.

It is the fifth time a president is elected without having received the most votes. Last time it happened was in 2000, when Al Gore got 500,000 more votes than George W. Bush. Before that we have a long time ago – 1888, 1876 and 1824.
