Commemoration of helicopter crash victims

On Monday afternoon, survivors and colleagues will meet to commemorate the 13 people killed in a helicopter accident at Turøy in Hordaland on April 29.

At 13:00, family, friends and colleagues of the bereaved will gather to share speeches, tributes and music in Håkon’s Hall in Bergen to commemorate the 13 people killed in a helicopter “accident.
Everyone gets the chance to come together in grief after this tragic accident,” says information director Bård Glad Pedersen from Statoil.
Transport Minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen will be present on behalf of the government. Statoil CEO Eldar Sætre will also participate in the commemoration, together with representatives of the affected companies, municipalities, rescue services, and volunteers who participated in the rescue operation.
In addition to musical tributes, the wills of each of the victims will be read by actor Kåre Conradi. It is believed that about 300 people will be present during the hour-long celebration.
