A 19 year old has been sentenced to suspended prison sentences of 90 days for having shared sexual images via Snapchat. The verdict sends an important signal to youths, police believe.
The 19-year old college student has admitted that in October 2015 he took a picture of a drunk girl while she had sex with one of his friends at a party, stated the newspaper Budstikka.
The image was shared via Snapchat. According to the ruling of Asker and Bærum District Court, the 19-year-old put the photo on his MyStory but removed it after a short time.
The image had still been out long enough that it spread to several others. The girl testified that the picture has had considerable negative impact on her.
The 19-year-old has also been fined 5,000 kroner. Both he and the girl who was captured were 17 years old when the incident happened.
