The Court of Appeal: Mullah Krekar can be sent to Italy
Mullah Krekar may be disclosed to Italy, the Court of Appeal has decided.
Krekar was arrested on the night of November 12 last year, along with a number of men in several European countries. The arrests were part of a coordinated action ordered by the Italian police.
Italian authorities claim that Krekar, whose real name is Najmuddin Faraj Ahmad, is the leader of the Rawti Shax network and has ordered him to be extradited.
The Oslo District Court ruled in late June that the conditions for extradition are present. Krekar appealed to the Court of Appeal which has now been rejected. Thus, everything is set for the two to be extradited.
