On Good Friday  cross trips were organized in several locations in Norway. For over 30 years, the ecumenical cross walk has been organized in Oslo.

The cross walk, which started at Oslo S at 16 o’clock Friday was organized by the Church City Mission. The tour ended at the Holy Trinity Church, where a Good Friday concert was held with Ivar Andresen on piano and Carl Petter Opsahl on clarinet.
Several places in the country marked the occasion. In Trondheim the tradition has lasted for nearly 20 years.  On Friday crosses were borne  from Our Lady Church to the Nidaros Cathedral, with a total of ten stations along the way, the newspaper Adresseavisen writes.
The tradition of cross walks started in Jerusalem. Every Easter pilgrims visit 14 stations along the road of suffering, the Via Dolorosa. Later, the tradition has spread throughout the whole world.
