The Crown Prince couple has sold homes for NOK 12.1 million

They received a total of NOK 12.1 million for the properties sold at Skaugum in 2011 and 2015, according to the newspaper Dagbladet.

In 2009, Crown Prince Haakon recieved approval to sell seven of eleven allotments from their property Skaugum in Asker. One of them was sold in 2011 while another was sold last summer.
Dagbladet has obtained the details regarding the total sum of the two sales.
The villa, which was sold in 2011, had a asking price of 3.9 million, and it was clear from the ad that it was in need of refurbishment. According to the newspaper, the villa was still sold for above the asking price, and the couple got 5.2 million for the property.
Last summer they announced one more house for sale at Skaugum. It had an asking price of 6.8 million. It was sold for 6.9 million.
The castle does not wish to comment when asked what the money went to.
