Crown Princess was present when the Oslo Innovation Week opened at Tjuvholmen in Oslo on Monday.

Both Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit took the opportunity to try VR-glasses.

Up to 10,000 visitors are expected at the event which has set itself the goal to be a bridge between startup companies and established businesses, between public and private sectors and between academia and business.

It is the City of Oslo, Innovation Norway and Oslo Business Region which stands as promoters of innovation week.

During the opening ceremony the Norwegian-developed learning game Kahoot was awarded the Oslo Innovation Award for 2016.
