The Minister of Immigration and Integration Sylvi Listhaug is in Denmark to find inspiration for the efforts to reshape the Norwegian integration policy. But she is already the strictest in class, according to newspaper Politiken.

Immigration Minister Inger Støjberg (Denmark) has found its Nordic over man at government level in terms of austerity measures on asylum area, writes the Danish major newspaper Friday.
Politiken shows concrete proposal that allows for asylum seekers in an emergency can be stopped and expelled at the borders of a Nordic neighboring countries. Such nødparagraf is not applicable in Denmark, according Støjberg.
Opposite from NTB Sylvi Listhaug does not hide the fact that the Danish asylum and immigration policy is of great inspiration for her. But that there is a competition in strictness she will not agree to.
– I would say it takes a reality orientation in several Nordic countries. We need to face that we are attractive and rich countries with good welfare schemes, which means that very many people will come here, she says.
Listhaug says she also will travel to Sweden for inspiration to the impending integration message that comes in first half of May.
– But when it comes to asylum policy has not so much to learn from Sweden, she says.
