The man found dead in a caravan in Oksfjord in Nordreisa on Saturday, was from Lithuania.

The Lithuanian embassy in Oslo tells Nordlys that they are cooperating with the police in connection with the death. The police have so far rejected that they suspect that something has been criminally, yet has characterized the death to be suspicious.

It was the owner of the caravan who found the body at 11:30 on Saturday. According to the police, he may have been in the camper for a few days.

The body underwent an autopsy on Wednesday in an attempt to determine the cause of death.

“The cause of death remains an open question. Where we stand now, there is no reason to involve Kripos yet,” police chief executive Mads Holsbø Eriksen said in the North Troms linguist district to NTB Monday.

The dead man is being referred to as “a relatively young man” by the police.
