A dead man was hoisted up from a tube of foundation for the new Munch Museum in Oslo Thursday.

The area is cordoned off, and police are investigating the case.

Police were alerted found at 12 of a person who works in the area. The dead were found at the construction site where the new Munch Museum, Lambda, should be listed next to the Opera building.
Police were alerted at 12 o’clock by a worker. The deceased was uncovered at the construction site where the new Munch Museum, ‘Lambda’, will be situated, beside the Opera House.
The cause of death is still unknown.
The tube, which the dead lay a good distance down, has a diameter of about 70 centimeters. Getting the body up without damaging potential evidence was an extensive task for the emergency services on site.
“The man was found in the pipe, more or less without clothes. Yet we can not say anything about how he got there or how he died. Technicians are on site and the man will be autopsied,” says guard leader John Rune Lande of the correctional guard to Oslo news agency NTB.
