Two brothers were sentenced to jail in Fredrikstad district court for 24 days for cheating when conducting the driver’s test test.

One of the brothers was taking a theory test for driving a car this spring, but because of limited Norwegian skills, he feared he’d fail the test. Therefore, he contacted a man who helped him cheat on the test by having an ear plug and insulated mobile phone with a camera in his clothes, wrote Fredriksstad Blad newspaper.

The person initially did not want to do this, but eventually learned that his brother had conducted the test in this way.

He eventually paid NOK 3,000 to get the help he needed to pass.

Both brothers conducted the test at Statens vegvesen’s premises in Oslo. They have confessed and both were sentenced to 24 days of unconditional imprisonment.
