Facebook has suspended over 400 applications after deciding if they had shared the personal information of the users in an unfair manner.

According to Facebook, applications are suspended due to ambiguity about developers and how information that people have chosen to share had been used.

Facebook announced the decision in a blog written by Ime Archibong,Vice President of Product Partnership.

Applications will now be examined further before deciding what to do next.

Facebook has previously stated that up to 87 million users may have had their personal information collected by the consultant, Cambridge Analytica, which is accused of creating customer-directed policy campaigns to promote Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy in the 2016 elections.
