Fears «coup d’état» by right-wing surge to KrF

The KrF leadership reacts to several calls to sign up in order to influence the party’s choice between the bourgeois and socialists this autumn. This so-called «coup d’état» is instigated by the right-wing organisation, Alliansen.

Nettavisen reported on Monday that Leader of the Alliance (Alliansen), Hans Lysglimt Johansen, has signed up for the KrF to influence them in Oslo. He does not rule out that he can leave the Christian Democrats the day after the National meeting – and offers to pay the sign -on fee for others who wish to influence their choice.

This weekend, the editor of the controversial web site Resett also voiced the sentiment that people should become members of KrF and thereby influence the decision. « After the national meeting is over, you can always opt out again», writes the editor, Helge Lurås.

– I think that violates some of our democratic values. That the far right wants to arrange an action in order to save the Progress Party, I think is dirty play, says Party Leader, Knut Arild Hareide (Christian Democrats) to VG.

– I think it’s an incredibly unsympathetic way to influence when you perform this kind of lobbying, without a genuine wish to be a member of a political party. Or what this party stands for, says KrF-top Hans Fredrik Grøvan to VG.

Coup d’état

– It is perceived as a «coup d’état», said City Councilor Bjørg Josefsen in Sandnes after their local meeting last week. VG then wrote about reactions to that new members appeared at the meeting and that eight «red» delegates were elected before the crucial vote on direction.

KrF will follow the newbies closely after the call to arms from Lysglimt Johansen.

– We have seen his call and follow the development of new members closely. This is clearly not a form of action we wish for, writes Communications Manager in KrF, Mona Høvset in an email to VG.

In excess of 1,500 members joined the Party between Friday, September 28th to October 9th, according to KrF’s own figures.

Norway does not have a «far right» please refrain from using such labels. And KrF was «coup d’état» by the radical left and this is a reaction to that. What validates this however is that it has been done by the people and not by corrupting the leaders like the radical left did.
