The pilot, who was taken in after an alcohol test at Oslo Airport on Friday, was put into custody for two weeks starting Saturday.

The 33-year-old man appealed the verdict of the Lower Romerike District Court, reported lawyer Jon Granrud of the East Police District of NTB.

“He does not acknowledge any form of punishment. Aside from that, I will not go into what he said in his questioning with the police,” he says.

The pilot flies for an international company, according to VG, who first mentioned the case. He was caught during a routine alcohol test at Oslo Gardemoen Airport on Friday morning.

“In view of this, he is charged with violations of the Aviation Act,” said Operation Manager Trond Lorentzen of the East Police District to NTB on Friday.

The police emphasised to VG that the crew’s service begins as soon as the preparations for a flight are under way. So far, it is unclear how high the man’s blood-alcohol content was at the time he was taken in.
