Great interest in swapping clothes

A week before the clothes swap day in 2016 the Environmental Association has over 60 events lined up across the country .

The clothes swap day will be held in Scandinavia next Saturday and for the first time  Norway will be taking part.

– The response has been overwhelming. There are already  60 enrolled events across the country, in all provinces. I think people are ready to find new ways to renew their wardrobes. Swapping clothes is good for your wallet, the environment and the crammed wardrobe,  adviser Johanne Houge in the Environmental Association says.

The clothes swap day has been held six times previously in Sweden. Last year they had 109 events with 12,300 visitors.

– So far this year they have 105 registered events, so if we take the respective population sizes of our contries into account, we are  already positioned to beat them. There are indications that we will get more promoters in the coming week, so maybe we’ll get more events than Swedes too. That would have been fun, Houge says .
