Greater use of digital public services

ICT projects have resulted in greater use of digital services for half of the enterprises in the central government.

In 2016, 48 per cent of government enterprises report that ICT projects from the last two years have had substantial gains from greater use of network-based self-service solutions. The corresponding share in 2015 was 41 per cent. Seventy-five per cent of the enterprises expect new ICT systems to lead to even greater use of digital services.
Sixty-four per cent of government enterprises have updated their ICT strategy during the last four years. Fifty-two per cent of the enterprises have a strategy on digital services for private individuals, and 31 per cent for the private sector. Lack of resources is an obstacle for developing digital services for 51 per cent of the enterprises, which is a decrease of 6 percentage points from 2015.
