America’s newly elected president has depreciated climate change, expressed a desire to withdraw from Paris agreement and will focus on coal. This policy can be catastrophic for global, mentioned Greenpeace.

– Donald Trump’s environmental policy can lead to 3.4 billion tons of extra CO2 emissions compared to Clinton’s proposal, according to Lux Research. The probability that the world would then be able to reach two-degree target is very small, writing environmental organization in a statement on Wednesday.

Trump has plans to invest in coal-fired power plants, one of the largest sources of emissions in the US and globally.

– These are decisions that will have repercussions on the planet for thousands of years and affect hundreds of millions of people.

The organization believes that it now becomes even more important that the world’s people, leaders and environmentalists stand together to stop global warming.

When the outcome of the US presidential election became clear on Wednesday many expressed concerns about the Paris agreement during parliamentary question.

Climate and Environment Minister Vidar Helgesen says Americans could withdraw from the contract not earlier than four years.

– But what is more serious is that we expect a weakened US leadership in global climate policy, and it would be unfortunate, he said.

Rubbish – Trump’s policies are a victory for intellectual rigour and plain commonsense.
