Half of the population of Oslo does not know the emergency number of the fire service, which is 110, according to a survey conducted for Oslo Fire and Rescue Department (OBRE).
– The emergency number is important to know, to be able to notify the right agency, and that so few knows the emergency number was a little surprising, says Knut Halvorsen, who heads the 110 central in OBRE, to VG.
500 people responded to the survey. According to it, the young in Oslo have the best overview. Only 40 percent of respondents over 50 years would have dialed the right emergency number.
In a similar national survey in 2014, 63 percent answered correctly on the same question.
