– Precipitation will be of varying intensity and widespread thunder is expected, especially Tuesday afternoon. The location of the largest volumes is still uncertain, but locally it can reach 40-60 millimeters during Tuesday afternoon and early evening, it is written in the notice.

The precipitation is coming from a low pressure system south of Iceland which is controlling a frontal system with highly unstable air masses towards southern Norway. The front zone will lay over Western Norway most of the day before it draws east late in the evening.

The Meteorological Institute has issued an orange level, level two of three warning. This implies that the consequences can be extensive and that people should be prepared.
