Poor June weather led to a record number of searches on Finn.no for last minute package tours abroad. Top of the search list thrones Greece.

– It is clear many repent when the typical Norwegian summer weather arrives. In recent weeks, unstable weather aided the large increases in both package tours and offers, says product director Eivind W. Christiansen for Finn travel in a statement.

In the last week of June  Finn’s travel site experienced  80 percent more visitors than the same week last year. Overall nearly half a million Norwegians searched for last-minute tickets in June, and Greece was on top among travelers looking for sun and heat.

– Crete is a popular destination amongst Norwegian tourists. It offers a lot of  holiday for the money, says Christensen.
Rhodes and Alanya follows as the next most sought after destinations for package holidays.
