Members of Iranian metal band may get the death penalty

Two members of the Iranian metal band Confess is according to several media at risk of being executed after being accused of blasphemy.
Two of the band members, who have written songs like “Teh-hell-ran” and “I’m Your God Now”, were according to the radio channel Metal Nation arrested and detained last November. The two are 23 and 21 years old, according to The Daily Mail.
Now they are released on bail, but they are still charged with, among other things, blasphemy, fhaving formed an illegal band and record label and writing anti-religious, atheist, political and anarchist texts, the newspaper The Independent writes.
The various charges in the indictment  have sentences ranging from six months in jail to the death penalty for blasphemy, according to the newspaper.
