The police in Oslo are looking for a 34-year-old Iraqi in connection with an attempt to take another man’s life at Sofienberg Park in Oslo this past Monday.

The man the police are searching for is 167 centimeters tall, has dark hair and speaks Norwegian, the police detective in Oslo police district announced Friday afternoon.

On Tuesday, another man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after a stabbing took place at Sofienberg Park in Oslo, Monday night. The police informed that after this arrest they could not rule out more arrests.

The 20 year old man who was stabbed is no longer in critical danger.

The police were notified of the knife stabbing at Sofienberg Park at 19.55 Monday night.

Three people were seen running away from the scene of the crime. The victim was very lucky, says the police.

“We have reason to believe the victim and his perpetrators, knew each other before the stabbing happened,” said Anne Alræk Solem, Head of Section for Serious Violence in Oslo Police District, to NTB on Tuesday.
