The King and Queen and the Crown Prince family plan a ski and mountain holiday at Easter, like many Norwegians.
– The King and Queen will be celebrating Easter in Sikkilsdalen as usual, the communications manager Marianne Hagen at the Royal Palace confirms.
The castle does not comment on whether the royal couple will be entertaining any guests on their holiday.
The Crown Prince and Princess also plan to spend time in their cottage this Easter, in Uvdal, where they have their own cabin. But first Crown Prince Haakon will take part in the Birkebeiner skiing competition for the second time. It takes place on Saturday, and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and Duchess Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, will also be at the starting line.
After Easter, the schedule for the royal couple will include a state visit to Italy. Rome and Milan will be among the places visited by the King and Queen and Italian-Norwegian cooperation on the green shift and Norwegian fashion industry are among the topics in the events they will attend.
