After several years of recession, the economy of Italy is improving. This means new opportunities for Norwegian export of energy and seafood, and the royal couple will lend a helping hand.
From Tuesday, King Harald and Queen Sonja will lend lustre to the already well-functioning relations of these countries. They will stay one and a half day in Rome and one day in Milan, respectively Italy’s official and financial capitol. In Rome they will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Brende and in Milan by the Minister of Petroleum and Energy Tord Lien.
