The police know the identity of a 14 year old boy (Jacob Abdullahi Hassan) who was murdered on Monday in Kristiansand.

The boy was a student at Fiskå School in the Vågsbygd neighbourhood of the city, reported Fædrelandsvennen newspaper.

‘It is difficult to engage in ordinary school activities on a day like this, so it’s important to be together and talk about the pain. We also know that it is good for young people to stick to their familiar routines’, wrote the school on their website.

The school students met in their classrooms at 08.30. At 09.30 to 10.00, there was a memorial service for the whole school. After the memorial assembly, students gathered once again in their classrooms.

After the long break period (‘langfri’), students are in their classes until the school day ends at 13:00. ‘The municipality’s crisis team will be at the school and give help when and where it’s needed’, wrote the rector, Oddvar Vik.

A 48 year old woman (Tone Ilebekk) was also killed, though it is not believed she had any relationship to the murdered boy.

By early Tuesday morning, there were still no arrests in connection to the killings.
