Attorney General is pleased that the Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of Edward Snowden, who went to court to establish that he could not extradited to the United States if he came to Norway.
– We note that the Supreme Court has come to the same conclusion as we have argued, and as we have supposed that is naturally correct, says lawyer Christian Reusch of the Attorney General to news agency NTB.
He emphasizes that this ruling does not mean that it’s not a direct decision for extradition to the United States if he come from Snowden to Norway, but only as a trial, this question shows that it is not possible.
The legal treatment would be characterized by political consideration on relationship between the United States and Norway, he believes.
– The argument we have is entirely independent of them. It does not matter who he is talking to, but the system, he says.
